Wrangell Elementary School

HARBORVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RENOVATION, JUNEAU (2007-2009)
Client:  City and Borough of Juneau
Services Provided:  Mechanical design, contract documents, construction services, and inspections of mechanical systems for additions and modifications to Harborview School.  Project included major renovation to entire school with all new heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems.  A new complete building automation system renovation from pneumatic to direct digital controls will also be accomplished. Project was designed and being constructed for LEEDS certification.





GLACIER VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RENOVATION, JUNEAU (2009)
Client:  City and Borough of Juneau
Mechanical design, contract documents, construction services, and inspections of mechanical systems for additions and modifications to Glacier Valley School.  Project includes major renovation to middle of the school for Penthouse Fan Room addition resulting in reconfiguration of several mechanical ventilation systems.  Design included a phased construction project with the Fan Room Penthouse constructed in the first summer, 2008. School was then occupied during the 2008-2009 school season, and the remainder of the project completed in the second summer, 2009. Project was designed and being constructed for LEEDS certification. A new complete building automation system renovation from pneumatic to direct digital controls was also accomplished.




HAINES SCHOOL (2008)
Client:  Haines School District
Mechanical construction documents and construction services for the addition of an elementary school and middle school to the high school complex.  Work also included an extensive renovation of the high school.  Construction was a phased project with the elementary/middle school with gym completed first and then the high school renovation last.    Mechanical systems included oil-fired heating plant, hydronic heating systems, ventilation and exhaust systems, commercial kitchen, direct digital electronic automatic control systems, domestic water and sprinkler systems.






UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS FISHERIES LAB, JUNEAU (2008)
Client:  University of Alaska
Sub-consultant for project mechanical-plumbing engineering of a design-negotiated bid-build construction project.  Mechanical systems included in the design were plumbing and laboratory piping systems.

JUNEAU DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATION (2004)
Client:  City and Borough of Juneau
Mechanical design, contract documents, construction services, inspections, and adjustment of mechanical systems for additions and modifications to Juneau-Douglas High School.  Project included major renovation to middle of school for Atrium addition resulting in reconfiguration of several mechanical ventilation and heating systems, and addition of a new mechanical system in penthouse.  A new chilled-water cooling system, science areas exhaust fans, and complete building automation system renovation from pneumatic to direct digital controls was also accomplished.  Mechanical system renovation included plumbing, heating, ventilation and exhaust, and wet and dry sprinklers, emergency eyewash and shower stations. 

UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA SOUTHEAST, KETCHIKAN, ROBERTSON BUILDING RENOVATION (2004)
Client:  University of Alaska
Mechanical construction documents for a complete renovation of the facility to classrooms, workshops, and administration offices areas.   Mechanical engineering included plumbing, fire sprinkler, ventilation and exhaust, wood shop dust removal, laboratory plumbing and exhaust systems, extension of hydronic heating and domestic hot water systems, and building automation system BAS control systems.  Services included design, construction services including coordination and inspections, and submittal reviews. 

SITKA HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATION (2001)
Client: City and Borough of Sitka
Mechanical design, contract documents, construction services, and inspections for additions and modifications to Baranof Elementary School.  Mechanical systems included plumbing, heating, ventilation, wet and dry sprinklers, direct digital type automatic controls, installation of a new boiler, underground double wall fuel storage tank, sand and oil separation pit, and kilns in the ceramics shop, sawdust collection for the woodworking shop, and specialized plumbing fixtures including plaster traps for the art room.




YAKUTAT VOCATIONAL EDUCATION WOODSHOP RENOVATION (1998)
Client:  City of Yakutat
Mechanical construction documents and construction services for a complete replacement of the wood shop mechanical systems including the air handling heating and ventilation system, direct digital controls, and a complete ducted wood dust exhaust and removal system. 

UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA SOUTHEAST, SITKA, CLASSROOM ADDITION (1997)
Client:  University of Alaska
Mechanical Engineering design and construction services for a multi-phased two story classroom addition to the existing hangar facility.  Mechanical services included plumbing, ventilation, exhaust, sprinkler, chilled water, duplex sewage ejector, and building automation system controls.






RIVERBEND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, JUNEAU (1995-1996)
Client: 
City and Borough of Juneau
Mechanical design, construction services, and inspections for a new elementary school.  Mechanical systems include ventilation, heating, domestic plumbing, automatic sprinklers, oil storage and supply, and building automation automatic controls.  The gymnasium ventilation system utilizes carbon dioxide sensors to monitor and control outside air introduction for a more energy efficient system.
